Long Distance Telephone Service

Tri-County Electric Cooperative is making available long distance telephone service, both residential and commercial, through Southern Services, LLC. Southern Services is a limited liability partnership of the six distribution member cooperatives of Southern Illinois Power Cooperative. Southern Services was created to allow Tri-County Electric and the other distribution cooperatives a way to offer services to our members that an individual cooperative would not be able to. The first of these services is long distance phone service.

This long distance service is one of the lowest cost long distance services available utilizing TransWorld Network. You can call anywhere in the state of Illinois for a low 4.5* cents per minute or anywhere else in the continental US for 4.9* cents per minute. There are no access codes to dial and NO MONTHLY MINIMUM OR MONTHLY FEE.

If you travel frequently and need to call home or have children away in school, an 800 number is a great convenience. With the long distance service we are making available, you can have your own personal 800 number at the same low per minute rates (4.5 cents per minute in state and 4.9 cents per minute out of state). And should you need to make calls while away from home, you can use a calling card at the low rate of 9.9 cents per minute.

This service is available to members and non-members of the Cooperative who live in the state of Illinois. Remember, this service is available to businesses also. And, if you or a business has a current 800 number, this number can be transferred to the new service.
