Tri-County Electric Cooperative is headquartered in Mount Vernon, Illinois at the intersection of Interstates 64 and 57. The cooperative serves more than 14,500 residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial customers in the three-county area.

The Tri-County neighborhood offers many recreational opportunities at Rend Lake as well as educational opportuniuties through two colleges: Rend Lake College at Ina and Kaskaskia College at Centralia.
